Intensive Reading intended for EFL scholars: a Library Research

Most of EFL learners will not like studying and they almost never read. It is because some elements such as challenging reading materials, uninteresting material and low motivation to learn. However , examining skill is important skill to further improve learners' potential in learning a language. Via reading, the learners are certain to get much experience of the language. Therefore , the instructors should present a good examining approach to get the students to help them in reading. Comprehensive reading is one approach which gives the learners an opportunity to get connection with the target dialect. Extensive reading will motivate learners to study and also find out English. Consequently , it will also boost the learners' vocabulary and enhance the learners' terminology proficiency.

Intro

Reading is one of basic skills which is learnt in English since Foreign Language (EFL) besides hearing, writing and speaking. Browsing will impact learners' achievement in the learning process. With out a good examining ability, learners will have challenges in getting details from reading sources such as book, newspaper, or journal. Studying is one way to get information from the supply that was written. However , reading is definitely not an easy skill to become learnt. There are some factors that influence the result of the examining activity such as the type of examining, environment, and reading material. It makes the learners have little time for studying practice in their learning method. As the result, they are retaining their capacity which can help them to read extensively and be familiar with content of the text latter. Some experts have launched some techniques which can help the learners to formulate their examining comprehension. Among the approaches is definitely extensive studying. Extensive browsing is contrasted with the intense reading which can be slow studying and careful reading that will take much time. According to Sheu (2003) " an extensive reading (ER) approach is apparently most appropriate means to fix improving learners' language effectiveness and studying ability”. This kind of reading way can help the learners to keep their examining skill and reading potential, because they cannot need to know this is of every term in the textual content. It problems more in the context meaning which help the learners to reduce the time put in for examining.
